“Old Man’s Mix” is the English translation of “ gubbröra,” the name of a Swedish dish made of hard boiled eggs and tinned fish. It is pungent and tastes exactly as you might imagine. I love it.

I’m not an old man - yet - but I like a lot of disparate things, many of which are - let’s say “niche.” I’ve really enjoyed the resurgence of small, personal blogs - the kinds I used to dig into for hours back when the web was new, where normal people, maybe with some odd interests, talked about their lives and what they loved. I have realized more and more that social media has kept me from writing at length about my life - better to keep things breezy and simple! - and I hope to change that here.
